Chiang Rai
Chiang Rai is the northernmost major city in Thailand and is only 34 miles from the Golden Triangle where Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar meet. More smaller and low-key than Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai houses many temples and draws people for its surrounding nature.
